Eve of Adventure
I am finding myself on the dusk of my business trip and the eve of adventure. My job allows me the latitude and responsibility to try to plan for every twist, turn or trouble that may arise. This is a great benefit for my personality type, but can be a bit alarming for the adventure side of my life. As I prepare to launch into central India, I'll be solo, with no contacts owing me any support to a place I've never been. 50% of me is rational enough to be alarmed. That side has considered all potential scenarios for concern ranging from realistic to outlandish. The gift in all this is the balance of my adventure spirit that screams, "Jump off the bridge, go for it, don't be skeerd!" I am fairly certain that the mystery, anxiety and complete unknown are what drive the value of adventuring. If it was all safe and rational, I guess it would just be a normal vacation.
Cheers to the conclusion of business and the beginning of adventure!
A few more moments from the urban portion of the India experience:
A panoramic view of a busy street directly after dusk as we visit kirahnas. So much chaos and sensory inputs. A blast.
A view of the mosque to the east of the Taj Majal.
Partner in duty for Agra - More than meets the eye, a huge Michael Jackson fan for starters, but a bundle of complexity.
A great dinner at Bukara - so much food so few utensils. Like no utensils - I don't love touching my food....
Syed - Too cool to wear his bib, but another great work partner. Face paced and always on the move. So thankful to have met him to adjust some of my perspectives.
Kiddo playing at the India Gate. Who doesn't dig a little splashing in puddles time at that age?
A view through India Gate. The three flags represent the 3 branches of the India armed forces.
Sweet chain protecting India Gate.
Red fort - Rumored moat filled with overgrown Mary Jane. India, really? (Seriously, the leaf shapes were accurate)
